People, Premises and Pitfalls – Legal considerations for growing businesses

Are you about to start a new business venture? Or are you ready to take your new business to the next level? If so, there are important legal issues that you need to consider when it comes to growing and protecting your business.

Join us for an open discussion focussing on the key legal issues facing new and expanding businesses, from deciding which corporate structure is best for you, to engaging people to work with you.

The aim of the session is to highlight the key legal issues you should be aware of and the potential hazards that can trip up small business; to equip you with the skills and confidence to work with your solicitors to help your business thrive. We will take you through the fundamentals of structure, acquiring your first office site, brand protection, general commercial compliance and HR considerations.

The session will be run by Ed Henderson a partner in the commercial department, Nishita Gudka a partner in the commercial real estate department and Niamh McKay a solicitor in the commercial department. Between them, Ed, Nishita and Niamh have over 25 years' experience in acting for all types of businesses from start-ups to listed companies.
